Our emblem — a rising sun above interlaced hands — reflects the two commitments at the heart of this organization: education that lifts young people up, and solidarity that holds a community together.

Welcome

A community hub built by young people, for their own neighbourhood.

Founded on the principles of solidarity and education, Udruga Mladih Peteranec serves as a dynamic hub for young minds and community advocates. Operating as a fully registered non-profit organization in Malta, we bridge cultural gaps and provide a safe, educational, and inspiring environment for youth.

Through non-commercial workshops, leadership training, cultural integration projects, and local volunteer drives, we empower the next generation to take active roles in society and create lasting social impact.

Our work is deliberately local and deliberately patient. A leadership circle may begin with six young people around a table in Iż-Żurrieq and grow, over a season, into a volunteer team running a coastal clean-up or a language café for newly arrived families. We measure our year not in campaigns but in the young people who return as facilitators.

Every activity described on this website is offered free of charge. Udruga Mladih Peteranec distributes no profit to its members; all voluntary contributions and civic grants are reinvested into educational and volunteer programs.

Core impact pillars

Three pillars that shape everything we organize.

Our programming is intentionally narrow. Rather than spreading thin across many causes, we concentrate our volunteer capacity on three areas where young people in our community told us they needed support.

Youth Leadership & Education

Providing free, non-commercial seminars on leadership, civic duty, and personal development for young adults.

Our sessions are facilitated by volunteer mentors, educators and former participants, and are always offered without any fee, subscription or commercial condition.

Cultural Integration & Exchange

Fostering mutual understanding through community events, arts, and intercultural dialogue in Malta.

We bring together Maltese families, international residents and newly arrived young people around shared cultural work rather than around difference.

Community Volunteerism

Organizing local outreach programs, environmental clean-ups, and social support initiatives driven by youth volunteers.

Every drive is planned, staffed and reviewed by our own youth volunteers, supported by the voluntary executive board of the organization.

Who takes part

Young residents aged roughly 14 to 30, their families, local schools, parish volunteers, and international residents settling into life in the Żurrieq area. No membership fee, no entry requirement, no commercial condition of any kind.

How we operate

Activities run on a seasonal calendar agreed by our voluntary executive board. Sessions are hosted in community halls and public spaces, and every drive is documented so that participants, donors and public authorities can review what took place.

How we stay accountable

Udruga Mladih Peteranec is registered under number 10139364133 in the Republic of Malta and complies with national regulations governing voluntary organizations. Our governance and public-benefit statements are published in full on this site.
